See what companies will be interviewing students at this year's event
The next Rocky Mountain Rendezvous will take place virtually on Monday, September 21 and Tuesday, September 22, 2020.
This year, the RMR will be a two-day event with a a virtual vendor expo and virtual interviews. Please check the agenda as additional components may be added.
Participating companies will be given access to student registration information and resumes and will contact students directly to schedule onsite interviews. Students are encouraged to register early, as space is limited.
RMR has typically been supported by the Oil & Gas industry and provides companies with graduate geoscience students for possible new hires as well as summer interns. We are pleased to welcome back our O&G supporters this year and due to the virtual format of the event (allowing us to accept more sponsoring companies), we would like to encourage other geoscience industry sectors like mining, environmental, service and geotechnical (as well as undergraduate geoscience majors) to join us and gain access to a larger potential pool of applicants (approximately 150 are expected).
There are many well-qualified new geoscientists who are less interested in the O & G sector, but would love to interview for potential positions in other geoscience and natural resource sectors. We are extremely confident other sectors will be able to find multiple qualified candidates with whom to talk. Furthermore, the virtual format of RMR 2020 helps shrink recruiting costs significantly compared to traditional “meet and great” job fairs. Where else can you get access to so many eager and well-educated potential geoscience staff (or interns) without putting your own personnel at risk? We hope you will agree — this an opportunity not to be missed!
